Will Montgomery

Will Montgomery began playing rugby at 13, starting out with Kirkby Lonsdale and Kirkbie Kendal School before joining Kendal Rugby Club. He then spent time with Preston Grasshoppers at U14 and U15 level, where his performances earned him recognition with the county side.

At 16, Will trialled with Newcastle Falcons and subsequently joined their junior academy, while continuing to play senior rugby for Kendal. He signed professionally with Newcastle straight from school at 18 and went on to represent England U18s in both 15-a-side and 7s rugby.

During his first two years in the professional game, Will gained valuable senior experience through dual registration with Tynedale and Darlington. He made his senior Newcastle debut away at Sale in the Premiership Cup in 2019 before making his Premiership debut against London Irish in 2021.

Will joined Ealing Trailfinders in 2022 and has since been part of two Championship-winning sides during his four years with the club. He also reached his 50th appearance for Ealing in February 2025, away at London Scottish.

Away from rugby, Will enjoys golf, playing padel and spending time with his dog.
