Bobby de Wee’s rugby journey began at Roosheuwel Primary School in Klerksdorp, South Africa, before continuing at Technical High Klerksdorp and Southdown College. During his school years, Bobby represented both the Leopards and Blue Bulls Rugby Unions, featuring in two Craven Weeks and helping the Blue Bulls lift the 2012 title.
After school, Bobby continued his development with the Blue Bulls U19 side, winning the Currie Cup before moving to the Golden Lions. There, he represented the U21s on two occasions, captaining the side, while also gaining senior experience in the Vodacom Cup, SuperSport Challenge and Currie Cup Qualifiers.
In 2015, Bobby made his senior Currie Cup debut – and capped off a memorable season by helping the Golden Lions win the competition. He later spent four years with the Southern Kings before making the move to West London and joining Ealing Trailfinders at the start of the 2020/21 season.
Away from rugby, Bobby enjoys keeping busy in the gym, gaming and immersing himself in street culture.
