Fionn Gibbons

Fionn Gibbons began playing rugby at around seven years old with Coolmine RFC, where he developed before moving to Castleknock College. He represented the school in both Junior and Senior Cup rugby, with his final year unfortunately cut short by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Fionn’s performances earned him selection for Leinster U18s, alongside involvement in Ireland U18 camps. He progressed to Leinster U20s while also being part of the province’s sub-academy, before stepping up to represent Ireland U20s. He featured in four Six Nations matches and four summer series fixtures, gaining valuable experience on the international stage.

Fionn subsequently joined the Munster Academy, where he made his senior debut in his first season against Connacht in the URC. He went on to feature against the Sharks before earning his third and final senior cap against Argentina XV.

Now at Ealing Trailfinders, Fionn brings experience from both the Irish provincial and international pathways as he continues the next chapter of his career in West London.

Away from rugby, Fionn is a big fan of other sports, and is always interested in following what’s happening across the sporting world.
