Ealing Trailfinders beat Caldy 7-34 to claim back-to-back Championship titles.
Tries from Craig Hampson, Francis Moore, Angus Kernohan, Craig Willis, Mike Willemse and Rob Farrar helped Trailfinders to victory and secured the title with two rounds to go.
It was an explosive start for Ealing Trailfinders with Hampson crossing the whitewash within the opening three minutes. The scrum-half sniped down the blindside to open the scoring.
Hampson was at it again to help extend the visitors’ lead. Hampson made another snipe around the breakdown and this time found Francis Moore, who was able to beat his man and dot down.

Trailfinders came out of the blocks firing in the second forty. They managed to break into the Caldy 22 and Tobi Wilson sent a looping pass over to Kernohan, who scored in the corner.
Caldy opened their account when Tristan Woodman scored in the 50th minute. Lefty Zigiriadis was in the sin bin and the hosts made use of their extra man.
Ben Ward’s men hit back straight away through Willis. The fly-half made a half break and had the strength to fight his way over the line.
Trailfinders finally got their maul firing with a quarter of the game to go. Captain Willemse broke from the rolling maul and powered his way over the line.
Farrar brought up the final and sixth try for Trailfinders. Willis made the break and then passed to Farrar who ran in from the 22.
The 7-34 result secured Trailfinders third Championship title in four seasons.
