Welcome Amelia Buckland-Hurry
Trailfinders are thrilled to announce the signing of Amelia Buckland-Hurry!
The experienced second-row signs from Worcester Warriors, where she had played since the start of the 2020/21 season.
Before her stint at Warriors, she played at Bristol Bears under Trailfinders Head of Skills Kim Oliver, then Head Coach of the West Country Club.
Buckland-Hurry, who first started playing rugby at Swindon RFC, previously represented the Barbarians against the USA in 2019.
When signing for Trailfinders Women, the second-row said: “I feel super grateful for the opportunity to play with Trailfinders this season after all that’s happened with Worcester Warriors.
“The players and staff have been incredibly welcoming and supportive, I can’t wait to be on the pitch with them for the start of the Allianz PWR.”
Director of Rugby, Giselle Mather, said: “Making the decision to bring Amelia to Trailfinders Women was a very easy one for me. She has a wealth of experience at this level, is very professional in everything she does and makes a genuine impact in every game she plays in.
“She works incredibly hard on and off the field and is an excellent fit culturally as she is hugely supportive of others and drives standards. We are delighted to welcome her to Trailfinders.”
