For the first time in our history, both our men’s and women’s teams will take the field this season with names and squad numbers on their shirts.

It’s a simple change, but a special one that gives our players their own identity on the pitch, and brings consistency across the club, as well as making it easier for fans to follow their favourites.

Fans can also now mirror the matchday look, with the option to add names and numbers to replica shirts for just £10 when purchasing online or in the club shop.

This landmark change will be seen in action for the very first time this Sunday, when Trailfinders Women debut the new home kit in the PWR Cup clash against Gloucester-Hartpury at Trailfinders Sports Club.

Revolution Refined, our new home kit.

This season’s design delivers a subtle refresh that unites our men’s and women’s squads, with each now showing the crest as the only distinction between the two. Emblazoned with the unmistakable London skyline, the shirt proudly represents both our club and our city.

Our home shirt is now available in all sizes, with prices cut from last year. Children shirts are just £35 (over a third off), whilst adult shirts are available at £55 – making it more affordable than even to wear the green.

Shirts are available online now on the club’s online shop, and will be available from the club shop on matchdays.

For the first time, fans can personalise their shirt with names and numbers, matching the new look that both our men’s and women’s sides will wear this season. Printing is available at checkout online and in store for just £10.

The new home shirt will make it’s debut this Sunday when Trailfinders Women run out in the PWR Cup clash against Gloucester-Hartpury at Trailfinders Sports Club.

The warrior second rower Bobby de Wee has been putting in the hours along with the wider Trailfinders squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The revised Champ Rugby format for the upcoming season means that there will be more league games and more battles for the title.

“We had a nice little off-season. All the boys were raring to get back in,” de Wee said.

Pre-season 2025/26

“We’ve been back now for the last four weeks and I think that the boys have worked incredibly hard.

“The first week of pre-season is obviously quite daunting with the various testing and the broncos that we have to do. The boys got straight into their conditioning and getting their bodies battle-proof for the long season that lies ahead.

“The boys are pitching up everyday and they’re definitely working hard.

“I had an ongoing issue with my wrist last year that required surgery. It unfortunately ended my season a little bit earlier than I was hoping for but I’m in the latter stages of my rehabilitation now.

“I’m working hard to get my body ready to join the boys back on the pitch ahead of this season. I want to make sure I’m doing all the work I can on the pitch and in the gym to make sure that my body is good to go.”

The revised league that will consist of 14 teams rather than 12 will provide more playing opportunities for the wider squad.

“Personally, I’m very excited for the new Champ Rugby format. I think it’s brilliant and exactly what the league needed. It’s a breath of fresh air, if you want to call it that,” de Wee commented.

“As a club, we want more high-pressure games and to put ourselves into those sorts of situations.”

Joining Champ Rugby is newly promoted London side Richmond and West Midlands club Worcester Warriors after coming under new ownership.

“With Worcester Warriors joining the Champ, it adds another element to the league,” de Wee said.

“As a club, Worcester have recruited quite well over the summer. They will definitely be a fixture that we’ll have our eyes on.

“With the new league and format, I think this season will go down to the wire. A win or a loss in the final week of the season could potentially change who’s in those top spots. We will want to secure a home semi-final and to make sure that we are in that home semi-final play-off spot come the end of the season.”

Ealing Trailfinders have been back-to-back Championship winners in the last two years. Whilst the goal will be to secure the triple, de Wee knows the challenge that faces the players. But he knows that the entire club will put all their efforts into positioning themselves to secure the trophy for a third year running.

“I think ultimately having won the Championship for the last two years you have a bit of a target on your back. That’s unfortunately the pressure you have as a champion.”

“We can only control what we can control: turning up everyday, putting in the hard work throughout the season.

“We’ll work towards securing a home semi-final spot and then it’s knock-out rugby and anything can happen.

“We’ll just keep doing what we’re doing and put our best foot forward.”

The pre-season fixtures kick-off with Chinnor (A) on 12th September at 19:30.

We can announce that Ben Harris has left the Club by mutual consent to pursue a new opportunity away from rugby.

Harris, who joined Ealing Trailfinders in 2024, departs after one year at Trailfinders Sports Club.

The winger scored 15 tries in nine appearances across the 2024/25 Championship campaign, helping the Club to a third title in four years.

Before signing for Trailfinders, Harris played for Premiership side Saracens, and he represented Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

Speaking about his time at the Club, Harris said:

“I’m sad to be leaving Ealing Trailfinders after having had a very enjoyable year with a great bunch of people. I’d like to thank Ben Ward for bringing me in and giving me the opportunity to play rugby last season, and the fans for making me feel so welcome at Vallis Way.

“I’ve enjoyed my time here on and off the pitch, making memories and picking up some silverware. It’s a brilliant club that continues to grow and hopefully will be able to demonstrate that at the top flight of English rugby.

“I’d like to wish the team the best of luck for next season.”

Ben Ward, Director of Rugby, added:

“Ben has been great for us over the past year. His try-scoring record speaks for itself and his presence will be missed at Trailfinders Sports Club.

“He has taken up an exciting job opportunity away from rugby. We support his decision and everyone at Ealing Trailfinders wishes him the best of luck in the next chapter of his career.”

The 2025/26 Champ Rugby season is fast approaching, with the fixtures for the newly formatted competition now confirmed, with qualification and play-off games adding aspiration and jeopardy excitement at the conclusion to the season.

Matches kick off on the weekend of 4 October, and the final regular season matches will take place on the weekend of 9 May 2026. All teams will play each other in home and away fixtures over 26 rounds.

The upcoming season will include 14 teams, with Worcester Warriors and newly promoted Richmond joining the 12 teams from last season.

Champ Rugby will live stream games this season, with at least one fixture per round available on YouTube, increasing the visibility of the league and showcasing its rising talent, community pride and elite performances.

The opening weekend of fixtures promises to bring a host of close encounters and plenty of entertaining rugby, including the opportunity to see reigning champions Ealing Trailfinders head to Bedford Blues, locking horns with last season’s runners-up. The two teams combined scoring points total for last season was close to 2,000, and both will be looking to get out of the blocks quickest come October.

Both Worcester Warriors v Coventry Rugby (2pm kick-off) and Ealing Trailfinders v Bedford Blues (4pm kick-off) will be the featured games on the new live streaming service, kicking off the season on Saturday 4 October.

Changes to the season structure announced in May mean that at the end of the 26-round Champ Rugby regular season, the table will be split into qualification stages. The teams ranked from third to sixth will participate in the quarterfinals to earn entry into the semi-finals, where the winners will take on the top two ranked sides.

The winners of the semi-finals enter the final to determine the Champ Rugby champion.

Fixture Details:

Edinburgh Rugby v Ealing Trailfinders

Hive Stadium

Friday 19th September

Kick-off – 8pm

We are pleased to unveil a reimagined season pass structure that puts supporters first – built to be fairer, more flexible, and more reflective of our whole club.

Whether you’re backing the men and their pursuit of the three-peat in a new look Champ Rugby, the women who have assembled a team featuring some of the best in the game, or even both sides, our updated approach creates more choice, better value, and a clearer journey for every supporter – from your first season pass to your fiftieth.

A structure that makes more sense

After reviewing our existing seasonal ticket model, we realised it wasn’t doing enough. Our old structure didn’t reflect the full picture of our club, and didn’t offer a route for young fans to grow with us. With limited opportunity to have a season pass throughout their journey, and then asking those under 18s to become full-paying adults the moment they turned 19 – that didn’t sit right.

So, this year, we’ve made some meaningful changes. Along with Season Pass options for everyone, we’ve introduced a new Under 21 age band to make that next step a little easier. And for the first time, young supporters can be part of the journey, with purchasable season passes at Under 12s starting from £6 per season and Under 18s starting from £16.

Our updated price bands are now more representative and inclusive with five clear categories: Under 12, Under 18, Under 21, Over 67, and Adult – all aligned to a fair and transparent discount structure.

Three Season Passes, One Shared Club.

By revising our pricing structures, we’ve ensured each of the three Season Pass options provide real value.

  • Men’s Pass: Back the back-to-back champions on their mission to make it three in a row.
  • Women’s Pass: Follow our stars – fan favourites and new – through what’s shaping up to be the biggest PWR season yet.
  • Club Pass: support both sides and get the most action for the very best value across the club.

Every pass includes equivalent free games built into the pricing – with up to 16 games free for kids with the Club Pass making the per-match value on of the strongest stories around.

Flexible Ways to Pay

We know not everyone can comfortably pay in one go, and now you don’t have to. For the first time, you can choose to pay for your season pass monthly, spreading the cost across 10 months. It also means that when the renewal window rolls around next year, you can simply relax knowing your favourite spot is secured without having to worry about any laborious renewal process.

It’s a change we’re proud of, and one that reflects our long-term commitment to accessibility, fairness, and our wider community. You can find out more about subscriptions here.

A Few More Changes to Know

  • Upper Grandstand: Pricing now reflects the Upper Grandstands place as the best seats in the house – the prime view, exclusive bar access, and home to some of the club’s most passionate supporters.
  • Under 12 Tickets: These are no longer free by default – a change made not to exclude, but to better reflect the value of attending. This doesn’t prevent us from offering special promotions in the future, community discounts or giveaways, and it gives us a better platform to grow.

Your Pass. Your Club. Your Way.

We’re not here to hide behind spin. We’ve made some minor price increases, and some decreases too – but every change is built on logic, on purpose, and giving our fans the clearest possible path to belonging and being a part of it. Our club is growing – in terms of in profile, in ambition, and in people, and these are changes that reflect that.

We can’t wait to welcome you back.

Ealing Trailfinders and Brunel University of London sign for 10 more years of ‘most comprehensive rugby university academy in Europe’.

Ealing Trailfinders and Brunel University of London have signed a 10-year renewal agreement that will continue to enable students to combine top-level rugby with their academic studies – and build on the Trailfinders Rugby Academy’s many successes.

The professional team has overseen the performance rugby programmes at Brunel since the partnership launched in 2018. Now more than 500 student players have benefited from the team’s coaches, strength and conditioning staff, their analysts and medical experts – plus access to the club’s two 4G pitches, two gyms and medical area – as part of the Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Scholarship Programme.

Among them are more than 25 players who have represented Ealing Trailfinders, Championship Rugby’s back-to-back winning champions, and more than 20 who have played for Trailfinders Women in the Premiership.

  • Josh Taylor (2024 graduate, Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences) played for Scotland’s back row in the Under-20s Six Nations
  • Elliot Chilvers (2022 graduate, Marketing Management) was in the first-ever cohort of the Trailfinders Rugby Academy, and made his debut in 2021 for the Club
  • Lefty Zigiriadis (2023 graduate, Economics and Accounting) made his debut at the end of the 2022/23 season and has since established himself as a regular starter within the Ealing Trailfinders team
  • Maud Muir (2022 graduate, Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences) has not represented Trailfinders, but has won 40 caps as a prop for England, including back-to-back Grand Slams in the Six Nations and playing in the Women’s Rugby World Cup

Many of the players are enjoying continuing success at Ealing Trailfinders, with others going on to play for other clubs such as Saracens, Toulon, Scarlets, Glasgow and Edinburgh – or, in Muir’s case, Gloucester-Hartpury, with whom she has won two Premiership league titles.

The seven years of the partnership so far have seen multiple promotions for Brunel’s teams, with the women’s side now in the top flight of university rugby, and the launch of the Brunel’s men’s side in the RFU league. This has been supercharged by the opening in 2021 of a £2 million high-performance training facility on Brunel’s Uxbridge-based campus.

The extension of the scholarship programme in 2021 to include women was foundational to Ealing’s aims to build a world-class hub for female rugby players, and was the catalyst for the launch of the Trailfinders Women squad, who are already competing in the country’s top league.

Ben Ward, Ealing Trailfinders’ Director of Rugby and Manager Director, said:

“We’re thrilled to be working in close partnership with Brunel for the next 10 years. We view our partnership as a unique set-up for rugby in this country, by linking our academy with a university – and with Brunel’s sporting prowess. Our ongoing long-term partnership confirms Ealing Trailfinders’ and Brunel’s commitment to build the most comprehensive rugby university academy in Europe.”

Gareth Rise, manager of the Ealing Trailfinders Academy, said:

“This partnership is the centrepiece of our academy strategy for both men and women players at Ealing Trailfinders. The renewal means the academy, and the ever-growing talent pool that is developing at Brunel, will go from strength to strength.

“It’s important to note that the programme doesn’t just produce great rugby players,” he added. “It also produces academically minded individuals who have made waves off the pitch.”

In addition to players who have secured places on sought-after graduate schemes, Simone Panella (2024 graduate, Business and Management) set up Dyamotech, a company specialising in wearable technology designed to monitor head impacts in sports, which led to his being crowned Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Hillingdon Business Awards. Many Brunel students have had internship opportunities at the club, such as in physiotherapy and coaching, and Callum Macaulay (2020 graduate, Sports, Health and Exercise Sciences) has risen to become the club’s Head of Performance Analysis.

Professor Jonathan Wastling, Brunel’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, added:

“Our partnership with Ealing Trailfinders has been transformational for Brunel’s rugby talent, with our university rugby teams thriving and many of our stars going on to play for Ealing’s men’s and women’s sides. It’s also been a huge boost for all the students who have immersed themselves in the academy’s ecosystem to develop their professional skills.

“It’s a demonstration of a strong partnership that delivers benefits for the local community and beyond, and I’m delighted that we will have another decade of success.”

The Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Scholarship Programme offers bursary and financial assistance with university accommodation and tuition fees for the most promising players from around the world who wish to develop their rugby career alongside studying for a degree.
