Rori Wood Signs For Trailfinders Women!
Trailfinders Women are thrilled to announce the signing of Canadian International Rori Wood.
Wood came on in the second half that day helping her nation beat a promising Ireland outfit that had just beaten the Black Ferns. A highlight was when Wood won a brutal scrum penalty against the head, driving through opposite number Siobhan McCarthy to help stop the Irish momentum.
The British Colombia native, who stands 6ft tall, will add even more power and international experience to the Trailfinders front row.
Joining Trailfinders Wood said: “I feel honoured and excited to start the next step of my rugby career with the Trailfinders Women, and I’m eager to grow with this team!”
Head Coach Barney Maddison said: “We’re really excited to be able to bring a prop of Rori’s quality into the squad. She’ll add depth to the position which is always important in the front row. Her ability as an athlete means she can bring a lot on the pitch and I can’t wait to see what she brings in a Trailfinders shirt.”
