Teya Ashworth

Teya Ashworth began her rugby journey with Eastbourne RFC before progressing through Saracens Minis and Old Albanians. Her performances saw her represent both Hertfordshire and Kent, as well as the South East divisional side, while continuing to develop through the English pathway.

Teya attended Worthing College from 2017 to 2019 and was selected for the U18 Talent Development Group before earning recognition at international level with England U20s during the 2018/19 season. During this period, she also represented Harlequins Women before moving on to DMP Sharks and Durham University.

In 2023, Teya took her rugby journey overseas, joining Capilano RFC and the University of British Columbia in Canada. She spent three years combining university rugby with her studies, gaining valuable experience in a different rugby environment before returning to the UK.

Now with Ealing Trailfinders, Teya brings experience from grassroots, county, international age-grade, professional and university rugby across both sides of the Atlantic.

Away from rugby, Teya has a wide range of interests. She enjoys pottery painting, card making, reading, history and exploring National Trust properties and historic sites. She also loves travelling, discovering new places and cafés, shopping, swimming, tennis and watching films.
