Sophie Molton began her rugby journey with Medway RFC, representing the club from U15 through to U18 level. Alongside her club rugby, she represented Kent County throughout her age-grade career, taking on the captaincy in her final year and leading the side through an undefeated season.
Her performances and leadership saw her progress into the England pathway, where she represented England U20s and earned a cap against Wales.
In 2024, Sophie joined Brunel University, combining her studies with her rugby development. She has since become an important leader within the university side, captaining Brunel through their run to the Super BUCS final.
Her progress continued in 2026 with selection for England Students, adding another international experience to her growing rugby CV.
Having captained at both county and university level while progressing through the England pathway, Sophie brings strong leadership and a winning mentality to Trailfinders.
Away from rugby, Sophie enjoys baking, going for walks and spending time by the seaside.
