Niamh Gallagher

Niamh Gallagher began playing rugby at the age of 11 with Enfield Ignatians, where she stayed through to U18 level. During her youth career, she also represented Middlesex at both U15 and U18 level and developed through the Wasps and Saracens Centres of Excellence.

Niamh’s performances earned her international recognition with Ireland U20s, where she spent two seasons and made five appearances. Her progression continued into the senior international setup, making her Ireland debut during the 2026 Six Nations and earning two caps.

Alongside her international career, Niamh has spent her entire senior rugby career with Trailfinders, progressing through the club and establishing herself as an important part of the women’s programme.

Having developed from grassroots rugby in North London through county, academy and international rugby, Niamh is now continuing to build her career with Trailfinders while representing Ireland at the highest level.

Away from rugby, Niamh enjoys playing padel, getting creative with arts and crafts, swimming and paddle boarding.
