Lisa Thomson

Lisa Thomson has been a prominent figure in Scottish rugby since making her international debut in the 2016 Women’s Six Nations. She progressed through the Scotland U18 and U20 pathways before establishing herself in the senior side, and she has also held leadership roles with Scotland, including captaincy and vice-captaincy.

A versatile centre who has also played at fly-half and hooker during her development, Lisa has built an extensive international career and has now earned 75 Scotland caps. She has also represented Scotland in rugby Sevens, including at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

At club level, Lisa developed through the Scottish game before spending time with DMP Sharks. She joined Trailfinders Women in 2024 and has since brought her experience of both XVs and Sevens rugby to the Premiership.

Her combination of long-standing international experience, leadership and versatility makes Lisa one of the most experienced backs in the Trailfinders squad.
