Emma Uren

Emma Uren is one of the most experienced Sevens players in the Trailfinders squad, having represented Great Britain at two Olympic Games and established herself as a key figure in the international Sevens programme.

Emma competed for Great Britain at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where the side finished fourth, before returning for Paris 2024. She became a two-time Olympian and helped Great Britain secure a seventh-place finish in Paris.

Her international achievements also include winning gold with Great Britain at the 2023 European Games, a result that secured qualification for the Paris Olympics. She was subsequently named captain of the Great Britain women’s Sevens team for the 2024/25 SVNS season.

Alongside her Sevens career, Emma has played Premiership rugby, including spells with Saracens, before joining Trailfinders Women. Her combination of Olympic, international Sevens and Premiership experience makes her one of the most experienced backs in the squad.
