Matchday information: Ealing Trailfinders vs Bedford Blues
Ealing Trailfinders welcome Bedford Blues for a top of the table clash in the final round of the regular Champ season.
Both Ealing Trailfinders and Bedford Blues have home semi-final games confirmed. The men in green welcome Bedford to decide whether Trailfinders can finish the regular league season unbeaten.
Ben Ward has named seven changes to his squad after last weekend’s win over Worcester Warriors.
Returning to the field is Club Captain Angus Kernohan who starts on the wing this Saturday.
Mike Willemse will skipper the side taking over the reigns from Josh Taylor.
Starting in the front row alongside Willemse is Lefty Zigiriadis and George Davis.
David Bridge and Matas Jurevicius start in the engine room.
In the back row are the familiar faces of Kyle Hatherell, Conor Oliver, and Will Montgomery.
Returning to the starting halfbacks are Craig Hampson and Dan Jones.
Rory Scannell moves to inside centre after playing fly-half last weekend. Francis Moore retains his place at inside centre.
Alongside Kernohan in the back three is Geordie Gwynn who also returns after a period of rehabilitation and Tom Collins who shifts to fullback.
Ben Ward has named a 5-3 bench split with the inclusions of Biyi Alo, Josh Taylor, and Deago Bailey.
Kick-off is at 3pm at Trailfinders Sports Club, Saturday 9th May.
