77th Min: TRY EALING TRAILFINDERS! Quick hands to the wing and Lukey Daniels slices through the Richmond defence to score. Craig Willis slots the conversion.

 

 

76th Min: We kick over the top of the Richmond defence with Angus and Jonah chasing hard. Richmond do well to ground the ball. Drop-out coming up.

 

 

74th Min: Richmond lose possession, we win the penalty and advance into the hosts half.

 

 

72nd Min: Richmond win the penalty and kick to the line. 22 metres out.

70th Min: TRY EALING TRAILFINDERS! Carlo barges over from close range for his second. Shings adds the extras and we’re back in front.

 

 

68th Min: Richmond scramble a pass wide but it falls forward. We have the scrum, five metres out. Come on Ealing!

 

 

67th Min: We get 10 metres from the Richmond line but drop the final pass. Scrum down to the hosts.

 

 

65th Min: We have the lineout on halfway. It’s our first real chance to build some attacking pressure in the second 40.

63rd Min: TRY RICHMOND. Again the home side drive over our line. Alex Burrage adds the extras to snatch the lead.

 

 

62nd Min: YELLOW CARD EALING TRAILFINDERS. Craig Willis heads to the bin for tackling the player without the ball. Richmond have the five metre attacking lineout. Score remains 19-21.

 

 

58th Min: Richmond throw the ball wide and look to be away down the corner but the referee pulls it back for a forward pass. Our scrum feed. Time to build some attacking pressure!

 

 

57th Min: We throw a dodgy lineout and Richmond scramble a kick down pitch before winning another penalty.

 

 

55th Min: Ollie Newman is on for his first Trailfinders appearance. We have the scrum penalty and boot to the corner.

51st Min: TRY RICHMOND. The hosts score again from their driving maul. Bill Johnston adds the conversion.

 

 

49th Min: YELLOW CARD EALING TRAILFINDERS. Will Davis heads to the sin-bin for pulling down the Richmond maul.

 

 

48th Min: Richmond win another attacking penalty and boot to the corner once more. We’re holding firm here under enormous pressure.

 

 

46th Min: We snatch the Richmond lineout and Grant box kicks out of danger. The hosts attack quickly back into our 22 though..

 

 

44th Min: Strong start by Richmond as they attack into our 22. They are then awarded the penalty and kick for the corner.

 

 

41st Min: We’re back underway at the RAG. We’ve made a number of rotational changes, with the likes of Kevin O’Byrne, Will Davis, Jack Grant, Craig Willis, Steven Shingler and Max Bodilly making their way onto the pitch.

 

 

HALF-TIME SCORE: RICHMOND 12 – EALING TRAILFINDERS 21

 

 

40th Min: TRY RICHMOND. The home side drive over our line to score their second. Conversion missed.

 

 

39th Min: Richmond win the penalty five metres from our line as the clock ticks towards half-time. The hosts boot to the corner for the attacking lineout.

 

 

SCORE: RICHMOND 7 – EALING TRAILFINDERS 21

 

 

37th Min: TRY EALING TRAILFINDERS! Carlo Tizzano barges over for his first try in Ealing colours. Lancaster adds the extras to extend our lead back to 14.

 

 

36th Min: YELLOW CARD RICHMOND. The hosts are down to 14 men as well.

 

 

33rd Min: Simon Uzokwe is replaced by Will Montgomery.

 

 

SCORE: RICHMOND 7 – EALING TRAILFINDERS 14

 

 

32nd Min: TRY RICHMOND. The home side drive over from the close range maul. Ex Trailfinder Bill Johnston slots the conversion.

 

 

30th Min: YELLOW CARD EALING TRAILFINDERS. Jack Metcalf is shown yellow for obstructing the Richmond attacker as they looked to collect the kick near our line.

 

 

29th Min: Richmond maintain possession and slice through our defence, 30 metres out. They look to offload but the pass bounces off the shoulder of the Richmond attacker. We scramble, collect the ball and punt out of danger.

 

 

22nd Min: Simon Uzokwe with a pulsating break through the heart of the Richmond defence. He’s eventually pulled down and the hosts manage to steal the turnover and drill a neat kick into our 22. Metcalf collects and scrambles a kick into touch. Plenty of highlights so far in this one!

 

 

20th Min: Big defensive effort by our pack! Richmond were building a powerful maul towards our line and our forwards do the job to force the turnover and then scrum penalty.

 

 

17th Min: Again we’re on the attack in the Richmond 22 but the hosts continue to defend their line well. They win the penalty and kick down field to relieve the pressure.

 

 

SCORE: RICHMOND 0 – EALING TRAILFINDERS 14

 

 

12th Min: TRY EALING TRAILFINDERS! Ollie Fox is over from close range. He darts his way through the Richmond defence to pop over for his first score in Ealing colours. Lancaster adds a lovely conversion from out wide.

 

 

8th Min: Richmond do well to force the turnover from our attacking maul. We’ll pack down for the scrum, Richmond feed, two metres from their line.

 

 

6th Min: That’s another penalty for our lads. We kick for the corner and drive powerfully from the lineout..

 

 

5th Min: Richmond have their first attacking possession working the ball into our half. Our defence holds firm and we win the ruck penalty. Lancaster boots us up over half-way.

 

 

SCORE: RICHMOND 0 – EALING TRAILFINDERS 7

 

3rd Min: TRY EALING TRAILFINDERS! We open the scoring with a slick wide pass to Angus Kernohan who flies over in the far corner. Dan Lancaster slots the extras.

 

1st Min: We’re underway at the Athletic Ground. It’s a beautiful evening for our third preseason fixture for 2022/23.
