Haidee Head signs for Trailfinders
We are delighted to announce the signing of Haidee Head, who joins from Queensland Reds Women.
Regarded as a rising star within Australian Women’s rugby, Head’s reputation as a versatile and exciting player stems from her ability across multiple positions.
More recently turning out at openside flanker, a background in sevens rugby has provided a base for Head to develop strong ball skills.
At just 21 years old, Head has already played at an elite level with the Reds, having featured in the 2023 Super Rugby Women’s Final against Fijiana Drua, later being voted the Reds’ Rookie of the Year that same year.
Speaking on her move, Head said:
“This is a huge opportunity for me to test myself in a new environment. The PWR has a reputation as one of the best women’s comps in the world, and I can’t wait to get started and rip in.”
Head Coach, Barney Maddison commented:
“Haidee is a real talent, and at such a young age, she has the potential to grow into a top-tier player.
“We’re looking forward to working with her and seeing how she develops with us.”
