FIONN GIBBONS JOINS EALING TRAILFINDERS

Ealing Trailfinders add further depth to their back line with their latest signing of Irish centre Fionn Gibbons. 

Gibbons moves to West London from United Rugby Championship side Munster.

Gibbons was a Grand Slam winner with the Ireland U20s in 2022 and scored three tries in four Ireland appearances during the Six Nations.

Whilst centre is his central position, Gibbons can interchange between centre and wing.

On signing for the club, Fionn said: 

‘I’m delighted to be joining Ealing Trailfinders. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work in a first class environment and I can’t wait to get started now with the team and coaches.’

Director of Rugby Ben Ward added: 

‘Fionn is a strong player. He offers versatility with an ability to play twelve, thirteen, and wing.

‘We spoke to Munster and they highly recommended Fionn to us. We were excited by his game footage and we hope to give him increased game time and see what he can do.

‘When we signed Scott Buckley from Munster a few seasons ago, he started in a similar position to Fionn. Since then, Scott has really kicked on for us and I hope that Fionn will have a similar journey as an Ealing Trailfinder.

‘We’re looking forward to bringing him into this environment and seeing what he can do.’
