Welcome Richard Hardwick

Trailfinders are pleased to announce the signing of back row Richard Hardwick following the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

The Namibian international joins following a successful spell with Super Rugby’s Melbourne Rebels, collecting 67 appearances.

Bringing a wealth of experience, Hardwick started his professional career at Western Force and has played in Super Rugby consistently since 2015/16.

The back-row is a destructive ball carrier, scoring a brace against the Hurricanes in this year’s edition of the Southern Hemisphere’s top rugby competition.

After being born in the Namibian capital, Windhoek, the 29-year-old grew up in Perth, Western Australia and managed to win two caps for the Wallabies in 2016/17 before qualifying for Namibia for this year’s World Cup.

After signing for Trailfinders, Hardwick said: “I am really excited to join the team post World Cup. It looks like we have a great team and have a real opportunity to move forward as a club.

“I love the direction the club is going with their performances and eagerness to win. We have world class facilities, coaching staff, support staff and management.

Director of Rugby Ben Ward said: “I’m delighted to bring Richard Hardwick to Trailfinders.

“He is an all action back rower who brings a threat with his carry and jackal. His contribution per game are really high and I think he will contribute to our environment. I am looking forward to watching him for Namibia in the World Cup.”

Here’s your Ealing Trailfinders team for tomorrow’s Championship Cup Final against Jersey Reds.

Up front, will see both Alun Walker and Lewis Thiede run out in an Ealing Trailfinders shirt for the last time after their departures were announced yesterday. They will line-up alongside James Gibbons.

The back five of the scrum is unchanged, as captain David O’Connor partners Bobby De Wee in the engine room, while another leaver Adam Korczyk, Ollie Newman and Simon Uzokwe are an exciting back-row!

Halfbacks see Craig Hampson and Dan Lancaster linking up again, with Reuben Bird-Tulloch and Max Bodilly also continuing in the midfield.

The back-three sees Cian Kelleher, Luke Daniels and Jonah Holmes all looking to launch some exciting attacks from the back field.

Among those of the bench, Will Davis and Jack Digby will also be looking to end their time at Trailfinders Sports Club on a high as they were among the nine names who will be leaving the club this year.

As Luke Daniels makes his 100th appearance for the club, the Trailfinders have named another side as they prepare to face Doncaster Knights in the semi-final of the Championship Cup.

Up front, James Gibbons and Lewis Thiede will pack down either side of Shaun Malton.

In the second-row, Bobby De Wee partners David O’Connor, who will also lead the team from the engine room.

Last weekend’s Player of the Match, Simon Uzokwe shifts over to the number 8 shirt, with Adam Korczyk and Ollie Newman starting on the flanks.

There are no changes at halfback or in the midfield, with Craig Hampson reuniting with Dan Lancaster, while Reuben Bird-Tulloch and Max Bodilly will link up in the centres.

In the back three, centurion Luke Daniels links up with Jonah Holmes on the other wing and Cian Kelleher at fullback.

On the bench, Barney Maddison and Simon Linsell among those looking to make an impact.

Up front, James Gibbons comes in to link up with Alun Walker and George Davis.

There is also a change in the engine room, as David O’Connor starts alongside captain Barney Maddison.

In the back-row, Rob Farrar and Jack Digby continue at blindside and number 8 respectively, while Adam Korczyk comes in on the openside.

The backline remains entirely unchanged from last weekend’s big 73-14 victory over Caldy at TFSC. This means it’ll be Craig Hampson and Steven Shingler in the halfbacks, while Pat Howard and Max Bodilly will link up in the midfield on what will be Bodilly’s 50th appearance for the club.

In the back-three, Jonah Holmes continues his fine form from fullback while Nathan Earle will be looking to add to the try he scored in Jersey in February and Luke Daniels will continue to be a strong option from the tee.

Ealing Trailfinders have named another strong side as they prepare to make the trip to Bedford, who are undefeated at Goldington Road so far this season.

It also promises to be a special occasion for George Davis, as the hard-working prop is set to make his 50th appearance for the club.

Joining him in the front-row will be Will Davis and Alun Walker, as the trio look to continue the scrum dominance that proved so well last weekend against Cornish Pirates.

Barney Maddison will continue to skipper the side from the second-row, as he again partners Andrew Davidson.

There is a totally changed back-row, as Adam Korczyk makes his first start of the season at openside, while Will Montgomery and Simon Uzokwe come in on the blindside and number 8 respectively.

Craig Hampson has a new partner at halfback, as Dan Lancaster comes in at fly-half, while the midfield of Pat Howard and Max Bodilly remains unchanged.

There is one change in the back-three, as Luke Daniels starts alongside Cian Kelleher and Jonah Holmes.

Ealing Trailfinders have named another powerful squad for Saturday’s crucial Championship clash with Cornish Pirates.

Up front Kyle Whyte, Alun Walker and George Davis continue their impressive form, packing down in the pack alongside lock Andrew Davidson and returning skipper Barney Maddison.

Rob Farrar, Ollie Newman and Jack Digby maintain their powerful back-row combination and will be fired up to deliver another formidable performance.

In the backs, Craig Hampson and Craig Willis continue in the halves, while Pat Howard returns from injury to partner Max Bodilly in the midfield.

The back three combination of Cian Kelleher, James Cordy-Redden and Jonah Holmes continue for the fifth consecutive week and will be excited to maintain their electric form on a fast and dry pitch.

There’s just one change to the match day squad as Ealing Trailfinders prepare for another London derby, this time against London Scottish.

After a strong 0-50 victory against Richmond at the RAG last weekend, Trailfinders will be hoping for an equally strong performance as they get their first opportunity to play at TFSC for a month.

Last weekend’s performance sees the starting XV remain unchanged, with the only alteration seeing Will Montgomery come on to the bench.

This continuity means that up front, Kyle Whyte, Alun Walker and George Davis will all pack down in the front-row, with Andrew Davidson and Simon Linsell supporting them from the second-row.

In the back-row, Rob Farrar will captain the side from the blindside, with Ollie Newman and Jack Digby on the openside and number 8 respectively.

The West-Londoners know they must be at the top of their game as the return to league action sees the West-Londoners just a point clear of Jersey Reds, who are in second place.

A strong side has named been named for the trip to the RAG, starting up front with Kyle Whyte and George Davis packing down either side of Alun Walker.

In the second-row, Andrew Davidson partners Simon Linsell, while the back-row sees Ollie Newman make his first Trailfinders start, while Rob Farrar captains the team and Jack Digby plays eight.

The halfbacks are Craig Hampson and Craig Willis, while Reuben Bird-Tulloch and Max Bodilly untie in the midfield.

Ahead of our final round of the group stages, Ben Ward and his coaching team have named another strong side ahead of this crucial Championship Cup tie.

With the Trailfinders just a point ahead of Jersey Reds in Pool 1, they know that only a bonus point victory will see them top the group and guarantee a path through to the knockout stages.

This however will be easier said than done, as they travel to the ALPAS Arena to face a strong Hartpury side who will be looking for revenge from last month’s 13-26 defeat.

The team which will look to qualify for the next round will see Kyle Whyte and Ross Kane start upfront, either side of Alun Walker.

After his successful impact off the bench, Andrew Davidson will start for the first time as he partners Simon Linsell in the second-row.

The back-row remains unchanged, as Rob Farrar captains the side from the blindside, with Simon Uzokwe and David Douglas Bridge continuing at openside and number 8 respectively.

After a dominant display last weekend, Jordan Burns and Dan Lancaster continue at halfback as they look to develop their partnership further.

There is only one change to the backline, as Steven Shingler drops out due to injury, allowing James Cordy-Redden to start from the outset. This does however require a bit of reshuffling of positions, as Max Bodilly shifts to back to the centres where he partners Reuben Bird-Tulloch. This then allows Jonah Holmes to move back to fullback, with Cian Kelleher and Cordy-Redden on the wings.

Among the replacements, new signing Rhys Anstey is in line to make his Trailfinders debut as he is named in the number 19 shirt.
