After last weekend’s second-half fightback away in Jersey, Ben Ward and his coaches have named another strong side for tomorrow’s Championship Cup fixture against Nottingham.

Currently sitting at the top of Pool 1, Trailfinders know that passage through to the knock-out stages are within their own control, but they will face two tough tests, starting tomorrow against a resurgent Nottingham side.

Kyle Whyte comes into the front-row alongside Alun Walker and George Davis. The back five of the scrum remains unchanged, with Will Montgomery and Simon Linsell in the engine room and Rob Farrar, Simon Uzokwe and David Douglas Bridge making up the back-row.

There is a change at halfback, as Jordan Burns gets the opportunity to start after his try scoring impact off the bench last week. He will link up with Dan Lancaster who slots in at fly-half.

In the midfield, Steven Shingler will captain the side from 12, while Reuben Bird-Tulloch keeps his spot at 13. After impressing last weekend, Max Bodilly continues at fullback, while Jonah Holmes and Cian Kelleher returning on the wings.

Among the replacements is new signing Andrew Davidson, with the big second-row in line to make his debut from the bench.

With a change in competition, it doesn’t mean there’s a change in intensity as Ben Ward and his coaching team have named a strong side for our trip to Jersey.

Up front, James Gibbons and Alun Walker will pack down next to George Davis who is making his first start of the season.

Will Montgomery switches from number eight to partner Simon Linsell in the second-row. This allows David Douglas Bridge to come in and make his first Trailfinders start, with match day captain Rob Farrar on the blindside and Simon Uzokwe on the openside.

Craig Hampson and Craig Willis continue at half-back, while Peter Robb and Reuben Bird-Tulloch will make up an exciting, new-look midfield.

The back-three sees James Cordy-Redden and Nathan Earle partner Max Bodilly, who shifts to fullback.

Tomorrow’s game at the State Santander International will kick-off at 2pm. If you are making the trip over, you can buy tickets here. Alternatively, you can follow the live coverage via Twitter.

Ealing Trailfinders have named another strong squad to take on the in-form Coventry at Trailfinders Sports Club.

Third placed Coventry come into the game off the back of an impressive 19-19 draw against Jersey Reds two weeks ago.

In the Trailfinders’ forward pack, there is only one change from last weekend’s victory away at Hartpury, with the league’s top try-scorer Carlo Tizzano replacing Simon Uzokwe, who will look to make a powerful impact from the bench.

This means that James Gibbons, Shaun Malton and Lewis Thiede all combine again in the front-row after the scrum performed so well in the West-Country.

Simon Linsell continues to skipper the team from second-row and will partner Bobby De Wee in the engine room, while Tizzano joins Rob Farrar and Will Montgomery in the back-row.

Craig Hampson and Craig Willis continue at half-back, while Steven Shingler comes in at inside-centre after impressing off the bench last weekend. He will form a strong partnership with the reliable Max Bodilly.

In the back-three, recent arrival Nathan Earle will will be joined by wing Luke Daniels and fullback Jonah Holmes.

Among the replacements, Danny Cutmore and Jordan Burns will look to make a strong impact, while David Douglas Bridge is in line to make his first-team debut.

Ahead of tomorrow’s trip to form-side Hartpury, Ben Ward and his coaching staff have named another powerful lineup.

The trip to the West-Country is always a tough one, but with the hosts on a five-match winning streak and some very cold temperatures being forecast, this one may be trickier than most!

The Trailfinders can be confident however, having already beat Hatpury twice this season, once in the league and once in the cup!

Tomorrow’s game will see local boy James Gibbons pack down alongside Shaun Malton and Lewis Thiede, with Bobby De Wee and Simon Linsell providing the grunt from the engine room.

The back-row sees Rayn Smid return at number eight, where he will captain the side, next to Rob Farrar and Simon Uzokwe on the flanks.

The backline is vastly unchanged, with Craig Hampson and Craig Willis continuing at halfback while Pat Howard and Max Bodilly remain in the midfield.

The one alteration does come in the back-three with Luke Daniels returning to the squad alongside Cian Kelleher and Jonah Holmes.

There is a notable name on the bench, as Will Montgomery returns from injury to potentially play for the first time in almost two months.

Tickets for tomorrow’s game are still available from £15. Get yours here.

Ealing Trailfinders have named another powerful line-up for the club’s first ever trip up to Caldy.

For the first time this season, we have named a totally unchanged pack following on from our 42-17 victory over Bedford Blues last weekend.

This means that Kyle Whyte and Lewis Thiede continue either side of last week’s Bread Street Cafe Player of the Match, Shaun Malton.

In the second-row, David O’Connor partners Danny Cutmore while Rob Farrar, Carlo Tizzano and match day captain Rayn Smid make up an exciting back-row.

At scrum-half, Craig Hampson makes his return to the squad and will partner Craig Willis at fly-half. There is also a change in the midfield, as Peter Robb comes in for his second appearance and Reuben Bird-Tulloch shifts back to his preferred position of outside-centre.

In the back-three, Jonah Holmes continues at fullback, with Cian Kelleher and Luke Daniels on the left and right wings respectively.

Among the replacements, Bobby De Wee returns to the match day squad after recovering from injury and will be looking to make an impact alongside Simon Uzokwe and Jordan Burns.

Scrum-half Jack Grant and fly-half Craig Willis maintain their partnership in the halves, with Max Bodilly joining Pat Howard in the centre. On the wings, Luke Daniels continues in the 14 shirt, while Reuben Bird-Tulloch starts on the left wing. Jonah Holmes resumes his impressive form at fullback.
