After a strong November, David O’Connor has been named as the Ealing Trailfinders Player of the Month.

Starting all three of our games in November, the second-row has been a key part of our successful start to the defence of our Championship Cup title, as we currently sit top of Pool 1 after three wins from three.

In our opening game in the competition against Hartpury, David captained the side and was influential in making the set-piece, and in particular the line-out, a real weapon for us as we ran out 64-10 victors.

Then he partnered Barney Maddison in Round 2 of the Cup as we travelled to Nottingham and claimed a hard-fought victory at the Bay.

He was then influential in our final game of the month, as we faced fellow unbeaten side Jersey Reds. In what was the toughest game of our season so far, David was vital in the dominance of the rolling maul which helped claim our first try in the 22-13 victory.

Your next chance to see David and the boys play in a game at Trailfinders Sports Club will this weekend as we face Bedford Blues on Saturday at 3pm or on Christmas Eve when we play Jersey Reds at 12pm. You can buy tickets for either of these games, by clicking here.

After a great October, Shaun Malton has been named as the Ealing Trailfinders Player of the Month.

The hooker has made a real impact in every game during throughout the month, and as Halloween approached he continued to frighten defences!

Starting all four games, Shaun was effective at the set piece, working well with the jumpers to ensure strong line out retention and supported the props well at every scrum.

He helped the team keep up their 100% winning record so far this season as he came away with three tries in the four games, with one against Coventry and two at London Scottish.

This award isn’t the first time his performances during October were noticed. Shaun was named in the Championship Clubs Podcast Team of the Week after our game against the Exiles, alongside fellow Trailfinder Rayn Smid.

Then, a week later, he was awarded the Bread Street Player of the Match after our exciting encounter against Nottingham at Trailfinders Sports Club.

Your next chance to see Shaun and the boys play in a game at TFSC will be in our Championship Cup Round 3 clash against Jersey Reds on Saturday 19th November at 2pm. You can buy tickets for the game by clicking here.

After a hugely impressive start in W13, flanker Carlo Tizzano has been named the Ealing Trailfinders Player of the Month for September.

The flanker, who scored four tries in three league games in September, currently sits joint third in the Championship try-scoring charts and is the highest scoring forward in the league.

On picking up this award, Carlo said: “It’s pretty awesome to have been awarded this accolade in my first month here. I’m pretty stoked about it and I’ve got to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted.

“We have such a competitive and talented squad here and I’ve got to thank the boys around me for allowing me to play the way I do.”

There will be a full feature interview with Carlo in this weekend’s programme for our game against Richmond. The programme will be released online on our website and across our social media channels, via our partners Zeeon tomorrow afternoon. Alternatively, you can watch the interview now on our YouTube channel.
