Cara Brincat to depart Trailfinders

Back rower Cara Brincat will depart Trailfinders at the end of the 2025/26 season. 

After making appearances in the PWR and league this season, Brincat will depart the Club ahead of 2026/27.

She will join PWR team Leicester Tigers.

On her time at the Club, Brincat said: 

‘After three seasons with Trailfinders including some tough injury spells it feels like the right time for a fresh start. I’m excited for the new opportunity ahead and ready to get stuck into the next chapter.

‘I’m grateful for everything that I’ve learnt at Trailfinders and will take those learnings with me in my career.’

Head Coach Barney Maddison added: 

‘Cara has been at the Club since the formation of the women’s team. It’s been great to see her development in that time and feature in all competitions.

‘We thank Cara for her hard work and wish her the best in her next steps.’
