Alivia Leatherman

Alivia Leatherman began playing rugby in Ohio, representing Normandy High School before joining the Parma Flamingos and later Notre Dame College. She also played football at a high level during her early sporting career before focusing on rugby.

Her progression through the USA pathway saw her selected for U23 development opportunities, including the 2022 South American tour, where the USA U23s won the Sudamérica International Cup. Her performances subsequently earned her a place in the USA Eagles setup.

Alivia made her senior international debut against Italy during the inaugural WXV 2 competition in 2023 and went on to earn selection for the USA’s 2025 Rugby World Cup squad. She made two appearances at the tournament in England.

At club level, Alivia has established herself as a powerful loosehead prop with Trailfinders Women. She was part of the Trailfinders side that reached its first-ever Premiership Women’s Rugby final in 2026.
