MIKEY SUMMERFIELD JOINS EALING TRAILFINDERS

Ealing Trailfinders are delighted to announce the signing of prop forward Mikey Summerfield. 

The Winchester-born prop joins Ealing Trailfinders from Bath Rugby.

Summerfield frequently featured for England U20 during 2022, playing all five rounds of the U20 Six Nations competition.

With an ability to alternate between loosehead and tighthead prop, Summerfield offers versatility and depth to Ealing Trailfinders’ front row.

On signing for the Club, Summerfield said: 

‘I’m excited to be joining Ealing Trailfinders. It is clear that it’s a great environment with a lot of ambition and I can’t wait to get stuck in.’

Ben Ward Director of Rugby added: 

‘Mikey is someone who has impressed us when he went on loan to Coventry. Mikey can play both loose and tighthead but we primarily see him as a loosehead.

‘He’s been around the environment at Bath which has been very successful in the last couple of years.

‘He’s looking to kick-on with his career and by coming to Ealing Trailfinders, he has an increased opportunity to play. He’s got attributes we look for in a prop: strong in the set-piece and he’s a mobile player which suits the style of our game.’
