TOM COLLINS TO STEP AWAY FROM FULL-TIME RUGBY

Tom Collins will depart Ealing Trailfinders upon expiry of his contract later this month, as he steps away from full-time rugby.

Since joining the club in 2023, Collins has become a valued member of the squad both on and off the pitch. His talent, experience and contribution to the club’s  recent successes have left a lasting impact through his time at Trailfinders.

Bringing down the curtain on his time in Green & White, Collins said:

“I’d like to say a massive thank you to all the players, coaches, staff, and supporters at Ealing Trailfinders. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my last three years at the  club and have met some great people along the way.

“We’ve achieved a lot, including reaching a semi-final of the Prem Cup, winning two  championships and going unbeaten throughout the 2025/26 regular season – memories I’ll always be proud of.

“For me personally, I feel now is the right time to take a different direction and focus on growing my business outside of full-time rugby. I’ve been given an opportunity to continue enjoying my rugby closer to home while beginning that next chapter, which feels like the right move for me at this stage.

“I’m extremely grateful for everything the club has given me, and I wish everyone at Ealing Trailfinders nothing but success moving forward.”

Director of Rugby, Ben Ward, added:

“We’ll all miss Tom around the club. He’s been a brilliant servant for the club and brought a huge amount of experience and quality to the group during his time here.

“He’s been an outstanding player for us, but just as importantly, a great person to have around the environment. He brought a huge amount of experience and quality  to the group during his time here, and the standards he has helped shape and influence he has had on his team are a great reflection of that. While we’re disappointed to see him move on, we completely support his decision and wish him and his family every success in his next chapter.”

Everyone at Ealing Trailfinders thanks Tom for his efforts for the club and wish him  all the best in the future.
