Will Davis to join Northampton Saints for 2018/19 season
Ealing Trailfinders can today confirm that Will Davis will leave the club to join Northampton Saints at the end of the season.
The loose-head prop will head to Franklin’s Gardens after spending four seasons at Vallis Way, where he has featured for the West Londoners on over 70 occasions.
The 27-year-old was a pivotal part of the side that secured promotion to the Greene King IPA Championship as they surged to the National One title during the 2014/15 season, and has since established himself as one of the most powerful props in the division.
Davis has formed an impressive partnership with the likes of Alun Walker in the front-row which has functioned well throughout the 17/18 campaign, seeing the Trailfinders sitting second in the Championship table.
The Bristolian moved to the Trailfinders from his hometown club, Bristol Rugby. He had previously come through the Bristol Academy having played for Worcester Warriors and Bath’s academies.
Davis had this message for the club that he has been a part of since 2014:
“I have loved the last four seasons with Ealing Trailfinders having met and played with some outstanding players/friends during this time. A special thanks to Wardy, Codders, all backroom staff current and past, and of course thanks to all the supporters! We still have it all to play for and my sole focus will be to leave on a high!”
Director of Rugby Ben Ward paid tribute to Davis for his service to the club:
“Will has been a fantastic servant to Ealing Trailfinders and we wish him all the best at Northampton. We pride ourselves on developing players and it is clear that Will has improved significantly during his time at Vallis Way and I’m sure he will be a success at his new club.”
