Vacancy - Personal Development & Transition Executive

Ealing Trailfinders is an ambitious, progressive, developing rugby union club playing in the RFU Professional Championship League.

We are currently looking to recruit a Personal Development & Transition Executive to join our growing team, working with Louise Meadows, Personal Development Manager.

Position: Personal Development & Transition Executive

Location: Ealing Trailfinders – Ealing - London

Fixed Term Contract: Full Time- Fixed Term Contract

Salary: TBC

Job Purpose: Provide well-being support, facilitate learning and prepare for life after sport.

Encouraging the Academy squads to build their identities on and off the pitch.

To provide personal, career and transition support for players who are injured, relocating or transitioning from full/part-time rugby.

Key Responsibilities:

To include educational guidance, career & personal development for all within the 

Trailfinders Academy programme.

Enable the player to develop skills to effectively manage their commitments within sport and non-sport related matters, establishing a balanced approach between their studies, sporting life and out-side of sport.

Build and manage an effective relationship with Brunel Staff to access direct support from existing departments/programmes.

Create player’s individual development plans

Deliver personal and professional workshops.

Organise career insight, networking and placement opportunities 

Apprenticeship schemes and alternative career guidance, pathways for players not on the Brunel programme.

To accurately report, monitor, evaluate and review player engagement.

Work in conjunction with the Personal Development Manager.


Educated to Degree level or professional equivalence.

Experience of the delivery of a personal development support programme for players at academy and senior level.

Able to demonstrate a proven record of relationship and partnership building.

Possess knowledge of and skills in career planning, educational systems, processes and assessment techniques.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbally.

Good I.T skills, well organised with the ability to work independently and manage their own time.

Work within a non-judgemental & confidential ethics environment.
