Two changes for Trailfinders ahead of local derby at London Scottish

Ealing Trailfinders have made two changes to their starting line-up for tomorrow’s local derby against London Scottish at the Athletic Ground.

Both alterations see former London Scots Mark Bright and Peter Lydon return to the side to face their former employers as the Trailfinders head to the Athletic Ground for a second consecutive match after last weekend’s British and Irish Cup match against Richmond.

With a fortnight of B&I Cup action completed it’s back to Greene King IPA Championship duties with another local derby on the agenda for Ben Ward’s men.

James Gibbons, Alun Walker and Mark Tampin start in an unchanged front-row with Harry Casson and Barney Maddison continuing in the second-row. There is one change in the back-row, as Club Captain Mark Bright returns to the number eight shirt with Kieran Murphy and Rayn Smid as flankers.

Grayson Hart and Rory Clegg extend their half-back partnership to a second week, with Joe Munro and Lewis Jones looking to make an impact in the midfield. James Cordy Redden keeps his place on the left wing, whilst Luke Daniels moves to the right wing to accommodate Peter Lydon at full-back.

Matt Cornish, Will Davis and Lewis Thiede offer a strong front-row alternative from the bench, whilst Dan Temm and Morgan Allen cover the rest of the pack. Scrum-half Dan Grant Adamson and the versatile Piers O’Conor complete the match day squad.

Full-back Peter Lydon is looking forward to facing his old club as the Championship gets back underway.

“I’m excited to get back out there against a team I know well, these are the games that you want to play in and it’s great to be back at a ground that I’m very familiar with.”

He added: “They (Scottish) had a lot of changes over the summer which took a while to bed in but you can see that their game has developed a lot since we played them in September which makes them a dangerous side.”
