Tries of the season

We scored some fantastic tries in the Greene King IPA Championship and British and Irish Cup this season and here are five of the best from the 2016-17 campaign.

Try 1 - James Cordy-Redden v Jersey Reds
The centre cuts back on an angle from Aaron Penberthy's pass and then uses his pace to get away from the covering defence to score in the corner.

Try 2 - Aled Jenkins v Bedford Blues
The Welsh centre starts the move with tricky feet and upper body strength. He then links with Rhys Lawrence and Carwyn Jones to find a gap in the Blues defence.

Try 3 - Phil Chesters v London Irish
A classic poacher's try. The club's all-time leading try-scorer pops up on Jenkins shoulder to round a swift counter-attack.

Try 4 - Will Harries v Yorkshire Carnegie
Lit up the west London night sky with a scintilatting individual effort that left six Yorkshire players in his wake.

Try 5 - Luke Peters v Yorkshire Carnegie
Rounded off the match and season in magnificent fashion, scoring in the corner after the team had gone from one end of the field to the other. A fitting reward for patient play and soft hands in a move that featured all 15 Ealing Trailfinders players.
