Next four Trailfinders Rugby Academy members revealed
Ealing Trailfinders can today reveal the next four members of the Trailfinders Rugby Academy with Brunel University London.
Alex Turton, Ethan Walters, Ricky Drewitt and Harry Robbins have started at the club and are training amongst the first team squad during the pre-season period.
Turton has academy experience already after being part of the set-up at both Wasps and London Irish in recent years. Whilst also playing for Bracknell he has represented his county and is a winger with a huge amount of pace, built in the Shane Williams mould.
Walters also has academy experience with London Irish and at centre will be looking to make a big impact. The former Henley College student and South West England Under 18 representative has played for Newbury on a regular basis in preparation for his spell at Ealing Trailfinders.
Drewitt is a strong loose-head prop who has represented South East England and Hampshire at County level, and will be aiming to learn from some of the strongest props in the league with the likes of Jordan Els and Alex Lundberg in his position.
Robbins, who has played for England South East Under 20s is already familiar with the club in recent years. At tight-head he adds plenty of presence to the scrum, weighing in at 119kg he has an exciting journey ahead of him in the front-row to push the Brunel rugby team up the leagues.
Brunel Head of Rugby Gareth Rise is pleased to have more players signed up to the programme.
“Alex, Ethan, Ricky and Harry are all exciting prospects and it is our pleasure to welcome them all. They have fitted in very well in the early stages of pre-season which is great to see.
These players are going to be hugely important to the Scholarship Programme and they add to the excitement for the upcoming year.”
