Munro to make 50th appearance as Ealing Trailfinders head to Bedford

Joe Munro is set to make his 50th appearance for Ealing Trailfinders in tomorrow’s Greene King IPA Championship match against Bedford Blues at Goldington Road.

The 6ft 5” centre has been a regular in the match day squad since joining the club in the 2015/16 season, and is amongst the most experienced in the side ahead of this landmark appearance.

Elsewhere there are two changes to the starting line-up, with Llewelyn Jones and Miles Mantella both being given the opportunity from the first whistle.

Will Davis, Alun Walker and Mark Tampin start in an unchanged front-row, with Jones alongside Barney Maddison in the second-row. Kieran Murphy, Rayn Smid and captain Mark Bright operate in a formidable back-row.

Luke Carter and Rory Clegg continue their half-back combination, whilst Munro joins Piers O’Conor in the midfield who will go up against his former club. Miles Mantella, Seb Stegmann and Luke Daniels start in an exciting back-three.

Matt Cornish, James Gibbons and Lewis Thiede offer a front-row alternative from the bench, with Dan Temm and Morgan Allen covering the rest of the pack.

Dan Grant Adamson who made his debut last week against Richmond provides scrum-half back up, and Peter Lydon completes the match day squad.

Director of Rugby Ben Ward is looking forward to a big test against the Blues.

"We know against Bedford we'll need to play for 80 minutes, it's second v third in the league and they will put us under pressure but it's a very exciting challenge."
