Jordy Reid signs new deal for 2019/20 season
Ealing Trailfinders is delighted to announce that Jordy Reid has signed a new deal at the club for the 2019/20 season.
The Australian has taken the Greene King IPA Championship by storm and has been a standout performer for the Trailfinders since arriving from Melbourne Rebels.
A physical back-rower, Reid has caught the eye after countless big tackles and strong carries to get his side over the gain line.
The 27-year-old has made 20 appearances so far this season, creating a formidable partnership with the likes of Rayn Smid, Kieran Murphy and Andrew Durutalo in the back-row.
His performances have seen him earn a number of Man of the Match Awards and become a firm fan-favourite amongst the supporters.
Reid is looking forward to another year at Ealing Trailfinders as he continues to settle in to English rugby.
“It has been such an enjoyable experience this season playing here. We have developed a great squad and I have really enjoyed playing my rugby with them under the coaching staff we have. Hopefully we can finish this season off strong so we can build into next year.”
Director of Rugby Ben Ward is thrilled to have the Australian at the club for the 2019/20 campaign.
“Jordy is a fantastic player and it is a huge acquisition to keep him for another year. He is a crucial member of our squad and we are excited to see him get even better over the next 12 months.
He is not only an important player but is also a great guy and sets the standard week in week out.”
