Jordans Burns heading to Ealing Trailfinders from Bedford Blues

Ealing Trailfinders can today announce another new arrival for the 2018/19 season, completing the signing of Jordan Burns from Bedford Blues.

The scrum-half has plenty of experience in the Greene King IPA Championship having made over 80 appearances for the Goldington Road side, scoring 21 tries in the process with an impressive strike rate of one every four matches.

The 24-year-old has made a name for himself as one of the quickest players in the division with his electric pace also making him an option on the wing.

A permanent fixture in the Blues match day squad since signing for them in 2015, he has made at least 24 appearances in all of his years with Mike Rayer’s team.

Burns signed for Bedford from Harlequins where he featured on five times, and originally as a winger before moving to scrum-half.

He has also represented England at both Under and Under 20 level, adding to his impressive rugby CV ahead of making the switch to Vallis Way.

Burns will be looking forward to competing with the likes of Luke Carter and Ryan Foley for the starting shirt for the 18/19 campaign.

The number nine is excited to be heading to Vallis Way for his next move:

“I’m really pleased to be joining Ealing Trailfinders, they are a very ambitious club and have got a good vision for the future which I am looking forward to being a part of.”

Director of Rugby Ben Ward says this is a signing that will boost the squad significantly for next year.

“Jordan is very experienced in this division which will be crucial for us and especially on our pitch his pace will give us a fantastic option. There will be plenty of competition throughout the squad next year and with Jordan joining us it’s another great arrival for the supporters to look forward to.”
