James Cordy Redden & Seb Stegmann sign contract extensions at Ealing Trailfinders
Ealing Trailfinders are pleased to announce that wingers James Cordy Redden & Seb Stegmann will both remain with the club for the 2018/19 season after signing contract extensions.
The pair have been impressive performers throughout the 2017/18 campaign across the back-three, and have been rewarded with new deals to stay at Vallis Way for another year.
James Cordy Redden has scored 15 tries in 15 matches this season and as his second season with the club draws to a close, an outstanding try ratio of 21 five-pointers in 37 appearances makes him one of the most prolific scorers in the Greene King IPA Championship.
The 24-year-old, who has previously represented England Sevens scored a hat-trick in the British & Irish Cup victory over Connacht and will be looking to keep crossing the line with only a handful of matches left this season.
Seb Stegmann has featured on 10 occasions this season after joining in the summer from Yorkshire Carnegie.
The experienced 28-year-old made his name after coming through the Harlequins Academy and went on to make over 30 appearances for the Quins first team before having another stint in the Aviva Premiership with London Welsh.
He then spent two years at Headingley and has enjoyed great competition with the likes of Miles Mantella and Will Harries for the starting shirt at Ealing Trailfinders, which he will be looking to make his mark on in the 18/19 campaign.
Director of Rugby Ben Ward is pleased to have two top quality wingers remaining at Vallis Way:
“Seb is a proven winger at this level and I’m sure that he will be back amongst the match day squad for the remainder of the season and beyond as he looks to show our supporters his credentials.”
James’ try-scoring record speaks for itself and it’s great that he will be with us next year as our squad continues to grow. His ball-carrying and ability under the high ball are crucial for us as well as being a very popular member of the squad so we’re pleased to have agreed a new extension.”
