Ealing Trailfinders to host Nottingham in last eight of Championship Cup

Ealing Trailfinders will face Nottingham in the Quarter Final of the inaugural Championship Cup at Trailfinders Sports Club on Saturday 2nd February.

Ben Ward’s side secured top seeding for the knockout stages after winning five of their six pool stage matches, and they will welcome Nottingham on the first weekend of February as a result.

Nottingham qualified for the last eight in dramatic fashion after a 19-14 win over Doncaster in Round Six, and after being level on points with the Knights they advanced due to tries scored.

The match will kick off at 14:30, and will be followed by a live screening of the Guinness Six Nations fixture between Ireland and England at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin which makes it an exciting day of rugby at Trailfinders Sports Club.

Director of Rugby Ben Ward is looking forward to another exciting occasion for the Green and Whites in the New Year.

“We are very pleased to have qualified for the knockout stages and to be facing Nottingham is a fantastic prospect for us. We had a great battle with them back in October and I'm sure this will be another huge game as we look to go further in this new competition.”

Please note that this match is not included in the season ticket package, so members will need to buy a match ticket.
