2017/18 Awards presented after final league home match of the season

Following Saturday's victory over Hartpury there were a number of awards handed out to the standout performers from the season.

The victory over Hartpury made it 10 wins in 11 home matches during the 17/18 campaign, with a win rate of over 90%.

Rayn Smid was the recipient of the Coaches Player of the Season, and received his award from Head Coach Alex Codling. The South African back-rower has been involved in every match so far this season and his consistent performances saw him deservedly get the accolade.

James Cordy Redden was presented with the Supporters Player of the Season Award. Mike and Angela Jackson, who follow the team home and away were on hand to give the winger his trophy, after a season which has seen him score 16 tries in 16 appearances in the number 11 shirt.

Barney Maddison was voted the Players' Player of the Season Award. The second-rower is a very popular member of the squad and had developed an impressive partnership with Harry Casson in the second-row making the lineout one of the most complete in the division. A knee injury made his season come to an end prematurely, but his performances saw Club Captain Mark Bright present Maddison with the trophy.

There were also special awards to three club stalwarts. Luke Daniels, Arthur Ellis and Will Davis have all been part of the journey from National One to the top end of the Greene King IPA Championship, and after making over 200 appearances for the club between them the supporters and everyone involved paid tribute to three of the best players in the recent history of Ealing Trailfinders.

Congratulations to all of the winners!
